Senior Network Engineer - Enterprise Infrastructure (Hybrid)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Network Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise-scale network infrastructure. This Senior Network Engineer remote position requires strong Cisco routing and switching expertise along with deep Palo Alto firewall experience, supporting secure, highly available enterprise environments.

What You'll Do

• Design, deploy, and manage LAN, WAN, wireless, and cloud-based network solutions.
• Configure, maintain, and optimize Cisco routers and switches and Palo Alto firewalls to ensure reliability, performance, and security.
• Monitor network health, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement proactive measures to reduce downtime.
• Lead network initiatives including upgrades, migrations, and integration of new technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business needs and ensure secure, reliable connectivity.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Create and maintain network documentation, standards, and operational best practices.

Requirements

• 7+ years of progressive experience in network engineering roles.
• CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on Cisco experience (required).
• PCNSE certification or equivalent hands-on Palo Alto experience (required).
• Expert-level understanding of the OSI model, subnetting, TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and QoS.
• Strong background in Cisco enterprise routing and switching technologies.
• Advanced knowledge of next-generation firewalls, with Palo Alto strongly preferred.
• Experience with VPN technologies and remote access solutions.
• Hands-on experience with cloud networking and hybrid connectivity (Azure and/or AWS preferred).

Nice to Have

• Cloud certifications, with a preference for Azure (AZ-305, AZ-700).
• Scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and/or Bash.
• Familiarity with network automation and infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform and/or Ansible (Bicep a plus).
