What You'll Do
- Mentor engineers on machine learning principles, deep learning, and data engineering.
- Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, product managers, and other engineers to gather and understand requirements for software solutions that address critical healthcare challenges using AI.
- Design, develop, test, and maintain healthcare applications and systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality, security, and performance.
- Implement and adhere to healthcare industry standards and regulations such as HIPAA, HITRUST, and other relevant compliance requirements.
- Leverage your expertise in data privacy and security to design and implement solutions that protect sensitive patient information and maintain the confidentiality of healthcare records.
- Participate in architecture discussions to ensure that software solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable in healthcare environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software applications with medical devices, electronic health record (EHR) systems, and other healthcare technologies.
- Develop algorithms and analytics tools to process and analyze medical data, contributing to data-driven decision-making and patient outcomes.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and trends in healthcare IT, incorporating innovative solutions to enhance the value of our software products.
- Participate in code reviews, write comprehensive documentation, and provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Assist in troubleshooting and resolving software defects, ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare software applications.
Requirements
- Fluent in English.
- B.S. in Computer Science or similar with emphasis on AI-related coursework.
- 8+ years of experience in a Software Engineering or related role.
- 2+ years of experience designing and developing machine learning/generative AI models and solutions.
- 5+ years of experience in C# .NET Core and Python.
- Professional experience using ML.NET libraries, and other Python frameworks for AI/ML (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, LangChain).
- Experience implementing Restful APIs for use by Angular, React, and/or React-Native UIs.
- Proven ability to work with stakeholders to better define the scope of their needs in a manner that allows for successful delivery.
- Familiarity with cloud systems, such as Azure.
- Experience with Git source control.
- Prior experience in systems with strong regulation and privacy concerns such as financial or health-related systems is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure ML.
- Knowledge of data-driven security practices.
- Familiarity with compliance requirements in healthcare.
