Senior Mechanical Engineer - ANSYS & PIPESTRESS Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for the sizing of nuclear and industrial equipment, including pumps, valves, and piping systems, using ANSYS and PIPESTRESS software. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to exciting projects in the energy sector.

What You'll Do

• Perform mechanical calculations for seismic, fatigue, thermomechanical, and rapid dynamics of various equipment.
• Analyze input data and establish calculation hypotheses.
• Conduct mechanical sizing using ANSYS and PIPESTRESS.
• Draft technical notes in both French and English, including methodology and progress reports.
• Communicate project progress and present results effectively to stakeholders.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (e.g., Enseirb - Matmeca, ENSMMM).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural calculations and mechanical sizing through numerical simulation in nuclear engineering.
• Deep knowledge of solid mechanics and seismic sizing.
• Proficiency in finite element calculation tools such as ANSYS, SYSTUS, PIPESTRESS, and CASEAR.
• Strong understanding of design codes like FEM, RCCM, CODAP, EUROCODE, or EN 13480.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent physical and mechanical sense, rigorous, methodical, and a strong team player.

Nice to Have

• Experience in thermal calculations.
• Knowledge of additional design codes.
