About the Role

Jimdo is looking for a Senior Legal Counsel (Financial) remote to join their Legal, Data Protection & Compliance team, reporting to the General Counsel. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a remote-first environment based in Germany. As a Senior Legal Counsel (Financial) remote, you will provide expert legal counsel on financial product matters, including regulatory compliance and fintech-related legal issues.

What You’ll Do

• Provide expert legal counsel on financial product matters, ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Support the development and deployment of AI-powered products from a legal perspective.
• Advise on data protection, compliance, and regulatory matters.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure legal compliance across Jimdo’s platform and services.
• Report directly to the General Counsel and contribute to the overall legal strategy.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a legal counsel, preferably in the fintech industry.
• Strong understanding of financial regulations and compliance.
• Experience with AI-related legal issues is a plus.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work in a remote-first, international environment.

• Knowledge of data protection laws and regulations.
• Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
