Senior Java/​Software Developer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Java/Software Developer to join our dynamic team at BeaconFire Inc. This Senior Java/Software Developer remote position offers you the opportunity to work on innovative software solutions while collaborating with a team of skilled professionals. You will be instrumental in designing and developing high-quality web applications using Java and various related technologies.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the team to design and develop high-quality web applications using Java, Python, Flask, JavaScript, Node, React, and related technologies.
• Write clean and efficient code, ensuring maintainability and reusability.
• Perform code reviews to uphold code quality and consistency.
• Conduct testing to ensure application quality and reliability.
• Create and maintain technical documentation for web applications.
• Participate in project planning, estimation, and prioritization.
• Stay up to date with the latest technologies for Python and JavaScript development.

Requirements

• Experience in software development in Python3 and/or JavaScript (ES6).
• Decent understanding of the software development/testing life cycle.
• Knowledge of relational/non-relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc).
• Experience with version control tools, such as Git.

Nice to Have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 0-1 year of professional experience in Python web application development with either Flask or Django.
• 0-1 year of professional experience in JavaScript web application development with React or Node.
• Experience in RESTful API development in Python or Node.
• Understanding of Python/JavaScript web application frameworks such as Flask or ExpressJS.
• Experience with cloud services, such as AWS.
