General Recycling Operative - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated General Recycling Operative - Remote Opportunity to join our team at Enva. In this role, you will ensure the safe and efficient operation of our Materials Recycling Facility (MRF) plant under the guidance of the Operations Manager and shift supervisor. This position involves manually sorting through various waste materials on the process line, performing hygiene duties, and conducting basic general maintenance. As a General Recycling Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring that relevant waste is separated according to its stream and that all recyclable elements are recovered.

What You'll Do

• Manage recycling plant operations in compliance with Health and Safety legislation and Enva standards.
• Carry out recycling, inspections, and cleaning duties as per company and manufacturer instructions.
• Assist in the day-to-day operations of the plant in accordance with site license and contractual conditions.
• Sort and separate waste types to maximize plant performance.
• Maintain cleanliness in all working areas and ensure machines are kept in a clean condition.
• Report any defects affecting the safe working order of a machine immediately.
• Wear the correct Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times when handling waste materials.
• Operate mobile plant and other equipment safely and competently where trained and qualified.

Requirements

• Experience working in a regulated environment, preferably in a recycling facility.
• Ability to operate vehicles and machinery safely.
• Driver's License, CSCS, and Mobile Plant License are desirable.
• Strong commitment to health and safety practices.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks as required.
