Optical Polishing Operator - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Optical Polishing Operator to join our team at Thales. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to the future of aerospace technology. As an Optical Polishing Operator, you will be responsible for polishing optical blocks, ensuring high-quality standards in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Do

• Mount optical blocks on tooling boards for polishing.
• Operate pedal lathes or automated machines for grinding.
• Perform rough and fine polishing of optical components.
• Conduct geometric and visual inspections using microscopes and binoculars.
• Maintain tools and prepare polishing materials.
• Clean optical parts and tools to ensure quality.
• Participate in short interval animations (AIC) and propose solutions for improvement projects.
• Document operations in tracking tools for traceability.

Requirements

• Experience in optical polishing.
• Familiarity with working under binoculars and handling fragile components.
• Proficiency in computer tools (MES, SAP, Excel).
• Motivated, meticulous, and rigorous in applying production standards.
• Adaptable and collaborative, with a willingness to work in a team environment.
