Senior Java Engineer - Remote Position for Crypto Innovation

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Java Engineer - Remote to join our dynamic team at Bitso. As a leading cryptocurrency platform in Latin America, we are committed to making crypto accessible and useful. This role is essential for driving innovation in our payments and blockchain ecosystem.

What You'll Do

• Write and ship high-quality code for critical services in our crypto and blockchain ecosystem.
• Engage in code reviews and collaborate with team members to maintain the highest quality standards.
• Design and implement software solutions that are scalable and efficient.
• Analyze user and system requirements to create flowcharts and documentation for software solutions.
• Test and debug Java applications to ensure optimal performance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience as a Java Software Engineer or similar role.
• Strong understanding of Java frameworks, particularly Spring.
• Proficiency in Object-Oriented Design and API design.
• Experience with Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Knowledge of cloud architectures and microservices.
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL, and NoSQL databases like Redis.

Nice to Have

• Experience with smart contracts using Solidity or Rust.
• Familiarity with Ethereum standards such as ERC-20 and EIP-712.
