Senior Full Stack Engineer - Remote at BitMEX

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team at BitMEX, a leading cryptocurrency derivatives exchange. As a Senior Full Stack Engineer remote, you will design and implement fast, real-time web applications that cater to our global trading community. Our platform is built with React.JS, and you will play a critical role in optimizing performance and ensuring a seamless user experience.

What You'll Do

• Develop and enhance the BitMEX Web Frontend and React components.
• Design and implement new features while fixing bugs and tuning performance.
• Collaborate closely with API and Engine teams to integrate unique consumer-facing products.
• Help develop and maintain APIs necessary for various trading experiences.
• Explore and evaluate new stack components and architectural ideas.
• Participate in code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architectural discussions.

Requirements

• Intimate experience with JavaScript and its performance characteristics.
• Proficiency in NodeJS, React, and Flux architecture.
• Experience with Flow/TypeScript.
• Ability to create complex, data-driven products that are user-friendly.
• Familiarity with current UX trends and a curiosity for new concepts.
• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience is preferred.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Knowledge of cryptocurrency and trading platforms.
