About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Field Network Engineer to join our dynamic team at Insight Enterprises. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while leading the technical delivery of complex network modernization projects. As a Senior Field Network Engineer, you will be responsible for planning, architecture, implementation, and operational support across various environments including LAN/WAN, data center, cloud, and wireless systems.
What You'll Do
- Own the planning, design, and execution of network refresh and modernization projects, ensuring all technical solutions meet defined objectives and quality standards.
- Lead formal change-control activities, evaluating scope modifications and assessing technical impacts.
- Develop high-level and low-level network designs, migration plans, and implementation strategies.
- Configure and deploy routers, switches, and related hardware across client sites.
- Act as the primary technical point of contact for project communications and provide timely updates on technical status.
- Implement structured risk identification, assessment, and mitigation processes to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
- Support endpoint testing and produce final deliverable packages while providing day-2 support for network stability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on network engineering experience, ideally with large-scale or multi-site environments.
- Certifications Required: CCNA and/or CCNP; Preferred: CCIE, CWNA, CompTIA Network+.
- Experience with Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or other enterprise vendors is a plus.
- Strong preference for experience with Cisco Catalyst Center.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and coordinate complex deployments.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required for deployments and milestones.
