Senior Field Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Field Engineer to join our dynamic team at Motive. This remote position requires a skilled professional who is both a technologist and a problem solver, ready to take on the challenges of deploying Motive Hardware across the UK and EU. As a Senior Field Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the quality and efficiency of our hardware installations.

What You'll Do

• Become a Subject Matter Expert on the Motive Hardware & Software Product Suite.
• Provide on-site installation and technical support for third-party installers, ensuring optimal vehicle engineering and connection to CAN-BUS.
• Lead the deployment and installation practices for Motive Hardware, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Participate in Motive's Alpha & Beta programs for new product development, providing critical feedback on installations and testing.
• Build and deliver training content for installation partners, ensuring they meet Motive's installation standards.
• Engage with key stakeholders to develop and maintain an online installation help center with articles and how-to guides.
• Ensure on-site efficiency and safety during all installations.
• Establish a Hardware Lab for testing and using Motive products effectively.

Requirements

• 6+ years of relevant experience as a Field Engineer or IT Administrator with hardware deployment experience.
• Strong background in computer electronics and hands-on experience with hardware installations.
• Experience in the automotive or logistics industry is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and tackle new challenges with enthusiasm.
• Passion for cutting-edge technology and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Nice to Have

• Experience in training and certification of third-party installers.
• Familiarity with AI technologies and their application in hardware deployment.
