Senior Engineering Manager - Remote Opportunity

As our business grows, the number of exciting people initiatives grows with it, and we’re looking for a new colleague to partner with our team to bring these to life.

What You'll Do

• Lead high-performing engineering teams, driving technical excellence and shaping impactful products at scale in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
• Hire and lead a team of engineers, including tech leads, software engineers, and QAs.
• Ensure growth and development opportunities for all team members, which includes employee coaching and mentoring, identifying and removing roadblocks and distractions.
• Run regular 1:1s and feedback sessions with team members, performing performance reviews for direct reports.
• Nurture a strong relationship with other engineering managers, technical leads, and product managers.
• Coordinate with stakeholders: defining priorities, managing expectations, ensuring regular updates and follow-ups regarding the teams’ scope of work.
• Support engineering department goals by setting team requirements, goals, and timelines.
• Make relevant technical and business decisions that ensure predictable delivery in terms of timelines, stability, and performance.
• Build and maintain the culture of engineering excellence – we don’t cut corners when it comes to quality and reliability.

Requirements

• Experience in technical and people leadership.
• Strong exposure to hiring engineers and establishing team culture.
• Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle.
• Advocate of servant leadership: Takes a hands-on approach to engineering on a daily basis.
• Experience resolving complex engineering and communication issues.
• Great time management, organizational, and multitasking skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience of hiring and scaling a distributed team across multiple domains.
• Experience with developing, deploying, and maintaining microservices-oriented applications.
