What You'll Do

• Lead the Builder Tools engineering team, focusing on hiring, coaching, and fostering a high-performance culture.
• Own the developer experience by defining SLOs, building cost models, and measuring developer experience rigorously.
• Collaborate with domain experts and other R&D teams to drive strategic initiatives and deliver impactful projects.
• Eliminate manual work and integrate modern AI-assisted developer tooling to enhance productivity.
• Make architecture decisions and review designs to mitigate technical risks while empowering your team.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading infrastructure, platform, or developer experience teams in a cloud environment, preferably AWS.
• Strong product sense for developer experience, with an understanding of what “delightful” tooling entails.
• A track record of independently leading complex initiatives across multiple projects and teams.
• Deep knowledge of modern web and distributed systems, focusing on reliability and performance.
• Excellent communication skills to align stakeholders and make engineering trade-offs visible.
