About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Engineer (Power Transmission Planning) remote to join our dynamic team at SP Group. What You'll Do

  • Plan transmission network expansion and developments, including HVDC systems, to meet area load growth and generation needs.
  • Provide consultation to large customers, agencies, EMA, and gencos for supply connections at 66kV voltage and above.
  • Design network connections and associated supply networks for large customers.
  • Plan and design generation connections for Gencos.
  • Develop network reactive compensation devices for high voltage control and maximized network utilization.
  • Prepare agreements with customers, Gencos, and other stakeholders.
  • Draft project proposals and prepare project papers for seeking EMA and management approval.
  • Plan cable routes for projects and ensure connectivity to substations and customers/gencos.

Requirements

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering recognized by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in planning/operation of transmission networks or design of distribution networks.
  • Experience with power system analysis software is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
