Manager, Accounting Controls - Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Accounting Controls to join our Finance team in a fully remote capacity. This role is pivotal in navigating the complexities of global employment compliance, making it an exciting opportunity for those looking to make a significant impact in the financial landscape. As a Manager, Accounting Controls, you will supervise critical financial processes while working with a diverse team across the globe.

What You'll Do

• Supervise the Month/Quarterly/Yearly End Close for assigned entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Manage accounting records, including journal entries, reconciliations, inter-company accounting, and the monthly close process for a high-growth startup.
• Lead a team of Accountants/Senior Accountants, fostering a collaborative environment.
• Liaise with finance outsourcing partners to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions in our SAP S/4HANA system.
• Deliver financial reporting and analysis, including statutory filing requirements.
• Collaborate with reporting and other teams to leverage financial data for key management processes.
• Support the development of an efficient, scalable finance function through optimized processes and automation.
• Maintain accounting and reporting policies and procedures, ensuring effective financial and internal controls.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Proven post-qualified accounting experience with a strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and Dutch GAAP.
• Experience managing a team of accountants in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated experience using core finance systems, preferably SAP.
• Financial planning and analysis experience, ideally within a high-growth company.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a hyper-growth environment.
• Experience working with large data sets and outsourced finance teams.
