About the Role

We are seeking a Tech Lead Manager - Client Integrations to join our innovative team at Kalepa. This is a remote position where you will play a pivotal role in transforming the commercial insurance industry with our cutting-edge AI Underwriting Platform. As a Tech Lead Manager, you'll lead a team of talented engineers and be instrumental in building core functionalities that enhance our customer’s experience.

What You'll Do

• Design and build API endpoints that are essential for our customers’ workflows.
• Improve database and query performance to ensure optimal efficiency.
• Integrate with a variety of third-party services to enhance our platform's capabilities.
• Translate product requirements into reliable business logic that meets customer needs.
• Help diagnose and resolve customer issues effectively.
• Contribute to making our platform faster, more stable, and user-friendly.
• Spend approximately 50% of your time coding, as this is a hands-on position.

Requirements

• 8+ years of relevant software engineering experience.
• At least 2 years of full-time engineering people management experience.
• Proven experience in backend engineering.
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on building high-performance teams.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and tackle complex problems.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI technologies and machine learning.
• Familiarity with commercial insurance processes.
• Previous experience in a startup environment.
