Senior Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric Remote

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our innovative team at Upstart 13. This Senior Data Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to design, build, and evolve a robust data platform using Microsoft Fabric. You will work with cutting-edge data technologies and ensure high-quality data delivery, making a significant impact on our global clients.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement end-to-end ELT pipelines to streamline data processes.
• Build and maintain a medallion architecture in Fabric Lakehouses for efficient data storage and retrieval.
• Implement data validation and automated quality checks to ensure data integrity.
• Manage Fabric platform operations and CI/CD processes for seamless deployment.
• Collaborate with BI stakeholders on star-schema design to enhance data usability.
• Design RTM Isolation strategies using Change Data Capture to optimize data flow.
• Deliver AI-Ready Gold-layer tables for advanced analytics.
• Utilize hands-on experience with Git-based CI/CD to maintain version control.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft Fabric and its components.
• Deep understanding of lakehouse and medallion architecture principles.
• Proficient in PySpark and Spark SQL for data processing.
• Experience with Delta Lake table management for efficient data storage.
• Familiarity with dimensional modeling principles to enhance data structure.
• Working knowledge of Git-based CI/CD for collaborative development.
• Soft skills: Execution-First Mindset, Curious Integrator, Quality Advocate, Collaborative Communicator, Continuous Learner.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS.
• Knowledge of machine learning concepts for data-driven decision making.
• Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards.
