Senior API Software Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior API Software Engineer to join our team remotely. As a Senior API Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in executing our product vision for a modern, frictionless, scalable API-first customer identity and access management system. This role is pivotal in delivering the best end-to-end Life & Annuities solution in the industry.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement API policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure robust security and functionality.
• Develop enterprise API solutions using an industry-leading API platform (Kong).
• Guide junior developers to ensure enterprise API solutions are implemented correctly and in a timely manner.
• Integrate the enterprise CIAM solution for all internal and external APIs.
• Collaborate with the CIAM team to enhance its capabilities to serve our clients effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 7+ years of software development experience using TypeScript frameworks like NestJS.
• Working knowledge of implementing OAuth, SAML, and OpenID Connect protocols.
• Experience in building industry-standard APIs and API governance.
• Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, EC2, and S3.
• Understanding of common DevOps tasks, including environment provisioning and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent work ethic and ability to work independently.
• Expert-level communication and critical thinking skills.
