Senior C++ Software Engineer - Intelligent Device Management

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior C++ Software Engineer to join our innovative team at Miltenyi Biotec. This Senior C++ Software Engineer remote position is pivotal in our mission to revolutionize modern cell production through advanced device integration. You will play a key role in shaping our Cell Factory Software and designing a feature-rich, multi-device cockpit that delivers real-time insights wherever they are needed.

What You'll Do

• Translate architectural visions into robust, scalable code using C++ (ideally C++17 or newer).
• Design and maintain APIs, protocols, and data formats for seamless interoperability across systems.
• Collaborate with fellow developers and interdisciplinary teams to create innovative solutions for device integration.
• Explore emerging technologies and continuously improve device functionality.
• Utilize state-of-the-art AI coding tools to optimize development processes and enhance productivity.

Requirements

• Academic background in Computer Science, Natural Science, or a related field.
• Strong expertise in service-oriented software development and experience in software for device integration.
• Proficiency in modern C++ (preferably C++17 or newer) or Golang.
• Experience with Typescript, message-based systems (NATS or MQTT), cloud solutions, and Kubernetes.
• Fluent in English (minimum B2 level); knowledge of German is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI technologies and tools like RooCode or Codex.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
