Associate Software Engineer - Defense Technology

About the Role

We are seeking an Associate Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Anduril Industries in Sydney, Australia. This remote Associate Software Engineer position offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge defense technology that transforms military capabilities. What You'll Do

• Develop high-quality software solutions based on technical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Maintain existing codebase and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices are being followed.
• Work collaboratively with development and QA teams using SCRUM/Agile methodologies.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in software engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, C/C++, and Bash/Shell scripting.
• Experience with Yocto and Buildroot.
• Good networking knowledge, including IPv4/IPv6, NAT, and VPN.
• Experience with virtualization and container technologies such as KVM and Docker.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems, including systemd and the Linux network stack.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Nice to Have

• Experience with kernel debugging and GDB.
