About the Role

We are seeking a talented Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team at Lensa. This Senior Android Developer remote position offers the opportunity to work 100% remotely, allowing you to balance your professional and personal life effectively. You will be responsible for developing, improving, and releasing our Android application, ensuring it meets the highest standards of quality and performance.

What You'll Do

• Demonstrate up-to-date expertise in mobile software development and apply this knowledge to enhance our Android app.
• Participate in peer code reviews and collaborate effectively within an agile setup alongside designers, product managers, and fellow developers.
• Provide mobile engineering support to the business, troubleshooting production issues for mobile devices.
• Support the implementation of business solutions that enhance user experience.
• Utilize your skills in Java and Kotlin to develop robust mobile applications.
• Work with RESTful APIs and handle data formats such as JSON and XML.
• Engage in unit and integration testing to ensure application reliability.
• Contribute to the design patterns, MVC architecture, and algorithms used in our applications.

Requirements

• Proven experience in mobile software development using Java and Kotlin.
• Familiarity with networking, RESTful APIs, and data handling using JSON and XML.
• Experience with distributed source code version control systems, particularly Git/GitHub.
• Ability to work within an agile development team and adapt to changing requirements.
• Strong understanding of Android SDKs and debugging techniques.
• Experience in design patterns, MVC, data structures, and algorithms.
• Demonstrated experience in unit and integration testing.
• A published Android application is required to showcase your skills.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of Kotlin Coroutines or RxJava for asynchronous programming.
• Familiarity with mobile UI/UX design principles.
