Senior AI ADAS Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior AI ADAS Engineer to join our innovative team at BMW Group. This remote position offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of mobility through artificial intelligence and machine learning. You will lead the end-to-end development of AI-based ADAS functions, driving advancements in automated driving technologies.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver end-to-end ADAS AI models such as object detection, behavior prediction, and trajectory planning.
• Define and drive the technical direction of the ADAS AI stack, including architecture and interfaces to vehicle systems.
• Own complete training, evaluation, and release cycles, covering data selection, scene mining, and KPI-based validation.
• Implement and execute training cycles, including root-cause analysis and closed-loop evaluation.
• Design and optimize humanlike driving behavior models using reinforcement learning and hybrid approaches.

Requirements

• More than 5 years of experience in AI-based robotics or autonomous driving development.
• Strong programming skills in Python for model development and data analysis.
• Solid C++ experience for production integration and performance-critical components.
• Deep expertise in prediction and planning models, including model architecture design.
• Experience with data-driven development, dataset curation, and scenario mining.

Nice to Have

• Experience working in safety-critical environments (ISO 26262 / SOTIF).
• Familiarity with various learning paradigms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement).
• Knowledge of E2E AI architectures.
