Operational Excellence Manager - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking an Operational Excellence Manager to join our team at Banque Cantonale de Fribourg. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while contributing to the continuous improvement of our operational processes. As an Operational Excellence Manager, you will ensure that the bank designs and continuously improves its processes effectively, consistently, and customer-oriented.
What You'll Do
- Define a common methodological framework applicable across the bank, including Lean Management, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or PDCA.
- Establish operational governance involving business units, IT, compliance, risk management, and cross-functional centers of expertise.
- Coordinate and develop a comprehensive inventory and mapping of key processes and supporting processes within the bank.
- Identify inefficiencies, operational risks, redundancies, and automation potentials within processes (RPA/AI).
- Collaborate closely with IT, data management services, and business experts to implement scalable and secure solutions.
- Implement and monitor KPIs for operational performance: quality, productivity, timelines, unit costs, operational friction, resilience, and respective dashboards.
Requirements
- Higher education in management, engineering, economics, information systems, or a related discipline.
- Several years of experience in process management, operational excellence, Lean/Six Sigma, or quality management (ideally within the banking or para-banking sector in Switzerland).
- Understanding of technological efficiency levers (RPA, workflows, monitoring tools).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and synthesis skills.
- Strong persuasive abilities and capacity to align different stakeholders on common objectives.
- Fluency in French, both oral and written.
Nice to Have
- Experience with digital transformation initiatives.
- Knowledge of regulatory frameworks in the banking sector.
- Familiarity with project management methodologies.
