Senior Service Technician - Global Opportunities

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Service Technician to join our dynamic team at HARTING. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely while providing essential technical support and service to our global clients. As a Senior Service Technician, you will be responsible for conducting error analyses, mechanical and electrical repairs, and technical optimizations. You will also document service interventions, inspection protocols, and technical reports, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service.

What You'll Do

• Perform error analyses and execute mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Independently conduct maintenance and technical optimizations on client equipment.
• Document service interventions, inspection protocols, and technical reports accurately.
• Train customer personnel on operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• Install and commission special machines on-site at customer locations.
• Engage in worldwide travel, typically short-term and project-based.
• Coordinate technical discussions with clients to ensure satisfaction.
• Support internal development and design teams with feedback from the field.
• Actively participate in continuous improvement processes.
• Build competencies in local machine construction through standardized training.

Requirements

• Completed technical training (e.g., Mechatronics, Electronics, etc.).
• Ideally, a master or technician qualification.
• Several years of professional experience in machine or plant construction, preferably in service.
• Solid knowledge in mechanics, electrical/electronics, and ideally control technology (e.g., PLC).
• High willingness to travel and enjoy international exchanges.
• Basic project management and organizational skills.
• Flexibility, teamwork, initiative, independence, and a solution-oriented approach.
• Good English language skills.
• Basic knowledge of MS Office.
• Confident demeanor, strong communication skills, and customer orientation.
