Senior Account Executive - Remote Sales for Data Analytics
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Account Executive to join our dynamic team at MicroStrategy. This remote position involves driving strategic sales into enterprise accounts within your assigned territory. As a key player in our sales team, you will be responsible for prospecting, qualifying, selling, and closing new logo business, making this an exciting opportunity for a driven individual.
What You'll Do
- Drive complex, enterprise-wide sales cycles and effectively present MicroStrategy’s value proposition to C-level business and IT stakeholders.
- Prospect, develop, and close new business while creating satisfied and referenceable customers.
- Research customer environments to create effective business impact models, account plans, and win plans.
- Manage all aspects of the sales process, collaborating cross-functionally with Inside Sales, Sales Engineering, Marketing, and Professional Services.
- Develop a territory and target account plan to create a healthy pipeline that will yield overachievement in booking targets.
- Balance long-term objectives with short-term results to maximize overall revenue generation.
- Meet and exceed direct sales goals within your assigned territory.
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and sales cycle reporting using MicroStrategy’s CRM tool.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in quota-carrying sales of software products and services into large enterprises.
- Demonstrable track record of consistent over-quota sales performance.
- Strong pipeline generation approach and experience with MEDDIC and Command of the Message.
- Proven track record of senior-level stakeholder engagement on complex IT and business-led opportunities.
- Extensive experience in prospecting, driving, and closing complex enterprise sales cycles.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively and ensure all stages of the sales cycle are running concurrently.
- A strong storyteller with a customer-centric approach who can quickly build rapport.
- Degree educated or equivalent academic/work experience.
Nice to Have
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence competitor products, Data Preparation, ETL, Databases, Analytics, and Enterprise Data Warehouses.
- Understanding of Big Data is preferred.
