Scheme Support Officer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate Scheme Support Officer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals experiencing homelessness, helping them navigate complex challenges related to mental health, substance misuse, and other needs. As a Scheme Support Officer, you will work collaboratively with a team to empower these individuals to lead independent lives.

What You'll Do

• Engage and interact with clients, attending external agency appointments alongside them.
• Deliver support sessions focused on tenancy management, life skills, and health & wellbeing.
• Organize and facilitate meaningful activities to promote physical health and social engagement.
• Manage the maintenance and health & safety of the accommodation facility.
• Oversee visitor management to ensure a safe and welcoming environment.

Requirements

• Passion for enabling individuals to live independently and achieve their best outcomes.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build open and honest relationships.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Capability to handle conflicting and demanding situations effectively.
• A valid driving license and access to a car are essential for this role.

Nice to Have

• Experience in social services or a related field.
• Knowledge of mental health and substance misuse issues.
• Familiarity with tenancy management and housing support.
