What You'll Do

• Act as the Head of Profession for Legal Services, providing authoritative legal advice on complex matters.
• Lead and develop a high-performing legal team, ensuring robust case management practices.
• Manage a diverse caseload including civil litigation, employment law, police law, and regulatory issues.
• Support operational decision-making during high-risk incidents, ensuring legal compliance.
• Collaborate with Chief Officers and external partners to enhance service delivery.

Requirements

• Qualified solicitor with substantial experience in delivering high-quality legal services.
• Proven track record in senior legal leadership roles, influencing at Executive/Chief Officer level.
• Expertise in litigation, employment law, police law, and regulatory matters.
• Outstanding judgment and political awareness to advise on high-profile legal cases.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills to build trust across the organization.
