Sales Associate - Material Handler (Retail)

We are seeking a dedicated Sales Associate - Material Handler to join our team at Coastal Farm & Ranch. This role is essential in maintaining high standards of customer service and operational efficiency. As a Sales Associate, you will engage with customers, assist in sales generation, and ensure that the store is well-maintained. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic retail environment while contributing to the overall success of our store.

What You'll Do

• Greet and acknowledge every customer, providing exceptional service and support.
• Answer customer inquiries and assist them in locating products within the store.
• Handle incoming phone calls and maintain constant communication with team members via radio.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of the products offered by Coastal Farm.
• Assist in merchandising, display maintenance, and overall store housekeeping.
• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including vacuuming and trash disposal, to maintain a tidy environment.
• Adapt to various roles within the store as needed, ensuring flexibility in a fast-paced setting.
• Process freight and assist in loss prevention efforts in accordance with company policies.

Requirements

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Ability to adapt to rapidly changing work environments and shift priorities as necessary.
• Familiarity with computer systems and email communication.
• Experience with forklift operation is preferred.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining store standards.
