About the Role
We are seeking a Remote Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at Temporal Technologies. This position focuses on enhancing our DevProd capabilities, ensuring that our infrastructure supports both internal and customer-facing observability. As a Remote Staff Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our mission to simplify code and improve application reliability, allowing developers to focus on delivering features faster.
What You'll Do
- Lead the end-to-end Software Development Lifecycle, including goals & requirements solicitation, design & review, implementation, operationalization & deployment, and support.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance the developer experience and build world-class open-source software.
- Drive the productivity and reliability of Temporal's developers and core platforms.
- Contribute to the design and architecture of our observability solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on infrastructure and observability.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker).
- Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a passion for improving developer experience.
Nice to Have
- Experience with open-source contributions.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture.
- Familiarity with CI/CD practices.
