Remote Software Engineer - Backend Development Focus

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Software Engineer to enhance our team at ATON IT. This role focuses on backend development with a strong emphasis on automated testing. As a Remote Software Engineer, you will have the opportunity to join a collaborative team and contribute to a long-term project for a strategic client.

What You'll Do

• Develop microservices using Go, ensuring high performance and scalability.
• Write and maintain automated tests in Python to ensure software quality.
• Collaborate with the QA team to guarantee the quality of software deliverables.
• Manage and optimize NoSQL databases, particularly Cassandra, and SQL databases.
• Contribute to the configuration and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines, preferably using Jenkins.
• Occasionally support performance testing efforts using tools like JMeter.

Requirements

• Proven experience in backend development with Go.
• Solid proficiency in Python, especially for testing purposes.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases (Cassandra) and a good understanding of SQL.
• Basic understanding of microservices architecture and concepts.
• Experience with Kubernetes and Helm, even basic command knowledge is sufficient.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably with Jenkins.
• Knowledge of Robot Framework is a plus but not essential.
• Familiarity with performance testing using JMeter is appreciated but not mandatory.

• A degree or diploma in technical or scientific disciplines.
• Good knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
