Senior Product Manager - Access for Acuity Scheduling

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Product Manager - Access to join our team at Squarespace. This remote position will allow you to empower product teams to solve meaningful customer and business problems while working closely with our Acuity Scheduling department. As a Senior Product Manager, you will own the systems that control customer sign-in, identity management, and payment processes, driving innovation and scalability.

What You'll Do

• Act as the primary product owner for your team, setting the roadmap and priorities based on technical feasibility, user impact, and business goals.
• Collaborate with engineers to define a scalable technical strategy that aligns with product goals, focusing on data architecture and systems design.
• Partner with engineering, data science, and UX teams to understand requirements and deliver solutions that balance speed and scalability.
• Work directly with Squarespace Identity and Security teams to develop a shared vision of a singular identity and authentication system.
• Translate technical architecture and system requirements into actionable items for stakeholders across the company.
• Focus on system stability, reliability, and scalability by working closely with the engineering team on continuous improvement.
• Guide architectural decisions to ensure optimal security, data flow, and access within our product ecosystem.

Requirements

• 4-6 years in product management or a technical role with product ownership, preferably in a data-driven environment.
• Strong background in data architecture, systems design, and service-based architecture.
• Proven experience in end-to-end system thinking and design.
• Hands-on experience with data modeling, database design, and data warehousing principles.
• Understanding of RESTful API design, OAuth, and integration patterns.
• Proficiency in using data to inform decisions autonomously.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Asana.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading teams from a monolithic architecture to a service-oriented one.
• High-level understanding of core user registration flows and OAuth.
• Experience documenting technical data architecture and service flows.
