About the Role

We are seeking a passionate Assistant Manager to join our team at Fego Ascot. In this Assistant Manager remote position, you will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring excellent service and a welcoming atmosphere for our guests.

What You'll Do

  • Support the daily operation of the restaurant, ensuring smooth service and guest satisfaction.
  • Lead the team during busy service periods, fostering a collaborative and energetic environment.
  • Host guests and ensure a warm, welcoming atmosphere that reflects our hospitality values.
  • Manage rotas and team organization to optimize service efficiency.
  • Support stock control and conduct weekly stock takes to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Monitor sales, labor, and operational KPIs to achieve business goals.
  • Ensure service standards and quality are consistently high throughout the restaurant.
  • Support team training, development, and coaching to enhance staff performance.
  • Assist in managing busy trading periods and events, such as Royal Ascot Week.
  • Maintain strong communication between kitchen and floor teams to ensure seamless operations.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Supervisor or Assistant Manager in a restaurant or café.
  • Confidence in leading a team during busy service and solving problems quickly.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate others.
  • Organized with good planning and time management abilities.
  • Proactive and able to work independently while contributing to a team environment.
  • A passion for hospitality and enhancing the guest experience.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in high-volume restaurant settings.
  • Knowledge of stock control and inventory management.
  • Familiarity with hospitality software and systems.
