About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Senior Cloud Platform Engineer to join our innovative team at MX Technologies. In this role, you will drive the migration of production workloads to our cloud-native AWS platform, ensuring reliability and security.

What You'll Do

• Drive Cloud Migration: Lead the end-to-end migration of production workloads from on-premise data centers to AWS, ensuring a seamless transition.
• Architect for Reliability: Design and implement production-grade Kubernetes environments and AWS architectures that prioritize 99.99+% availability.
• Enhance Security: Implement robust security measures to protect sensitive financial data and maintain compliance with industry standards.
• Collaborate: Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and deploy scalable solutions that meet business needs.
• Optimize Performance: Continuously monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Mentor: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of learning and growth.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on AWS.
• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Experience with cloud security best practices and compliance.
• Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive in complex systems.

Nice to Have

• Experience in the fintech industry or working with financial data.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design.
