Manager, Academy Systems Engineering - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Manager, Academy Systems Engineering - Remote to lead Nutanix’s technical talent pipeline from our Barcelona hub. In this pivotal role, you will bridge the gap between global program strategy and regional execution, ensuring that our Associate Systems Engineers receive a world-class experience.

What You'll Do

• Manage day-to-day operations for the EMEA Academy, including scheduling, resources, and mentoring for all Barcelona-based cohorts.
• Oversee performance management, hiring, and career development for Associates, ensuring they are prepared for their roles.
• Act as the primary point of contact for EMEA SE leadership to align graduating Associates with regional market demands.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to enhance the recruitment process, maintaining high standards for technical aptitude and cultural fit.
• Implement a technical coaching strategy, ensuring high-quality training sessions and live demos.
• Provide data-driven insights to the Global Program Manager for continuous improvement of the curriculum and training materials.
• Serve as the first point of escalation for operational issues within the Barcelona hub, fostering a professional learning environment.

Requirements

• 2+ years of formal people management experience, particularly in developing early-career or technical talent.
• 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role, with the ability to evaluate technical competency.
• Strong operational skills to manage complex schedules and resource allocations across multiple projects.
• Proven collaboration skills with remote leadership teams and a Global Program Manager.
• Deep understanding of the EMEA tech ecosystem and cultural nuances.
• A genuine passion for coaching and developing others, aligned with our "Hungry, Humble, Honest" culture.
