About the Role

We're hiring a Remote Sales Engineer to join our growing team at Alpaca. In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise and communication skills to support our sales process across the LATAM region. As a Remote Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in expanding our enterprise partner base and ensuring our clients understand the full potential of our offerings.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the product and technical subject matter expert, capable of thoroughly understanding and articulating all aspects of the Alpaca platform to diverse audiences and stakeholders.
  • Act as a regional market-specific expert in regulations, compliance, and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Work closely with senior leaders and C-level executives to provide essential technical advisory and product expertise throughout the client lifecycle.
  • Present compelling product and technical use cases to prospective clients, building trust and confidence in Alpaca's technical capabilities.
  • Translate complex business and technical requirements into clear, simple solutions that resonate with clients.
  • Collaborate with the Sales and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless onboarding and support for our partners.
  • Continuously enhance your knowledge of Alpaca's products and the financial services landscape to provide the best solutions for our clients.
  • Participate in the development of sales strategies and initiatives to drive growth in the LATAM market.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a sales engineering or technical sales role, preferably in the financial services or technology sectors.
  • Strong understanding of APIs and technical integrations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with clients at all levels.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in the LATAM market and familiarity with regional regulations and compliance is a plus.
  • Passion for technology and a strong desire to help clients succeed.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish is required; Portuguese is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with trading platforms or financial services technology.
  • Familiarity with open-source technologies and contributions.
  • Previous experience working in a remote environment.
