About the Role

We’re looking for a highly motivated Remote Regional Director of Public Sector Sales to join our team at Chainguard. In this role, you will leverage your strong knowledge of the US Department of War (DOW) to build relationships with key decision-makers and evangelize Secure Software Supply Chains. As a founding member of the Public Sector team, you will play a crucial role in establishing a presence within Federal customer accounts, including the Air Force, Army, Navy, and Space Force.

What You'll Do

  • Define and execute go-to-market (GTM) sales engagements within USG programs.
  • Establish and engage our Channel Reseller program across all Public Sector territories.
  • Refine and execute our GTM strategy for Cloud Marketplaces and Hyperscaler Alliance Teams for DOW.
  • Drive the adoption of Chainguard products to new customers within your territories and accounts.
  • Evangelize the value proposition and ROI of our offerings to prospects and leads.
  • Position yourself as a trusted advisor within the partner community to effect change.
  • Champion our offerings with key stakeholders to drive a project’s future state.
  • Collaborate with internal business functions to ensure an exceptional partner experience.
  • Leverage community, build partner ecosystems, and develop partner marketing to drive significant growth.
  • Forecast accurately to meet and exceed quota.
  • Manage business and track opportunities in Salesforce (SFDC) and other supporting tools.

Requirements

  • US-Based, US-Citizen.
  • Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance.
  • 10+ years of Sales Management experience in the Public Sector required.
  • Competitive, driven, and a team player.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Experience in cybersecurity or software sales.
  • Familiarity with federal procurement processes.
  • Strong network within the public sector.
