Remote QA Engineer - SaaS Platform

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote QA Engineer to join our dynamic team at Upshop. As a Remote QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of our applications through robust automated testing. This position is essential for building and maintaining end-to-end and API test coverage while contributing to our overall test strategy and continuous improvement.

What You'll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests for our SaaS platform.
• Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and create test plans.
• Execute automated test cases and analyze results to identify defects.
• Enhance and optimize existing test frameworks and tools.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in testing.
• Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices.
• Document test cases, results, and defects in a clear and concise manner.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, preferably in a SaaS environment.
• Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Experience with API testing and performance testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD processes and tools.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a remote team.
• Experience with Agile methodologies is a plus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner).
