About the Role
We are seeking an Apprentice Software Engineer specializing in mobile and embedded development to join Renault Group. This remote position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the automotive industry while working on innovative projects. As an Apprentice Software Engineer, you will be part of the Electronic Shaker Lab, focusing on Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) technologies.
What You'll Do
- Develop software applications for Android Automotive and mobile platforms.
- Create interactive prototypes using Unity for visual demonstrations.
- Integrate software solutions on the Qualcomm Ride™ SX 4.0 platform.
- Contribute to existing vehicle platforms such as Renault 5 and Rafale.
- Engage in rapid prototyping using tools like Arduino and Raspberry Pi.
- Explore innovative topics around connectivity, AI, and user interfaces.
- Participate in ideation sessions and pitch new project ideas.
- Work collaboratively with a team of experts in a supportive environment.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bac+5 engineering degree in computer science, software engineering, mobile development, or interactive systems.
- Proficient in Android development using Kotlin or Java.
- Hands-on experience in application development through internships or personal projects.
- Strong foundation in object-oriented programming.
- Familiarity with Git and Linux environments.
- Knowledge of Unity is a plus.
- Graphic design sensitivity for UI/UX interfaces.
- Visible personal projects on GitHub or portfolio.
