About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Remote Personal Injury Legal Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our legal team and ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality of service. As a Remote Personal Injury Legal Assistant, you will be responsible for managing case files, preparing legal documents, and communicating effectively with clients to provide updates on their cases.

What You'll Do

  • Assist attorneys in the preparation of legal documents related to personal injury cases.
  • Manage and organize case files using Clio Manage and other legal software.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on case progress.
  • Conduct legal research to support case strategies and prepare for litigation.
  • Review and summarize medical records and other documents pertinent to cases.
  • Coordinate with medical providers and insurance companies to facilitate claims processing.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative work environment.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of experience as a legal assistant or in a related role.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures, particularly in personal injury law.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal management software (Clio preferred).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in workers' compensation or litigation support.
  • Knowledge of medical records management and insurance claims processes.
  • Paralegal certification or relevant legal degree.
