Remote Member of Technical Staff - Frontend Development

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Member of Technical Staff specializing in Frontend Development to join our innovative team at DevRev. In this role, you will be instrumental in enhancing our AI platform, Computer, which is designed to redefine the future of work through seamless human-AI collaboration. As a Remote Member of Technical Staff, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology that unifies data sources and enhances productivity.

What You'll Do

• Own and resolve complex production bugs in frontend (ReactJS) services.
• Lead root cause analysis (RCAs), contribute to postmortems, and participate in service health reviews.
• Collaborate with service owners and support teams to deliver small features and config-based enhancements.
• Influence system design reviews and advocate for debuggability and observability.
• Participate in code reviews and enforce engineering best practices.
• Mentor and coach mid-level engineers and interns, supporting their onboarding and technical growth.
• Actively resolve production incidents and participate in retrospectives after six months.
• Contribute to authoring and maintaining L3 engineering playbooks focused on systematic debugging using logs and observability tools.
• Drive AI-assisted productivity adoption across the team (e.g., Cursor, Claude).

Requirements

• 1-3 years of experience in frontend development, particularly with ReactJS.
• Strong understanding of debugging and observability practices.
• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
• Proficient in conducting code reviews and enforcing best practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools and platforms.
• Familiarity with service health reviews and root cause analysis.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
