About the Role
Are you a recent graduate looking for a fulfilling opportunity? We are hiring a Registered Nurse - General Ward / Accident & Medical to join our team at Kaitaia Hospital. This position offers a part-time role (0.9FTE) with a flexible schedule, allowing you to work Monday through Sunday on rostered shifts. As a Registered Nurse, you will provide quality nursing care and support to patients, ensuring a holistic approach to healthcare that is safe and of the highest quality possible.
What You'll Do
- Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients in the Accident & Medical and General Ward settings.
- Utilize your professional knowledge and skills to enhance patient outcomes through education and case management.
- Coordinate treatment and discharge planning processes for patients.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care.
- Adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments while maintaining excellent communication with patients and team members.
Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand Practicing Certificate.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and demonstrate adaptability.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
- Experience in a rural clinical setting is beneficial but not essential.
- A personal commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in a general hospital or emergency ward.
- Skills in patient education and case management.
- Familiarity with community health services.
