Quantitative Researcher - Macro (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Quantitative Researcher - Macro to join our team at Man Group. In this remote position, you will leverage your expertise in quantitative research to develop and implement macro trading strategies. You will be part of a dynamic team that focuses on systematic trading of liquid futures and FX, with holding periods ranging from monthly to intraday.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough research and live trading of alpha signals for futures and FX.
• Manage the entire research pipeline, including data acquisition, preliminary analysis, signal construction, robustness checking, and monetization.
• Engage in portfolio construction and risk analysis to optimize trading strategies.
• Utilize strong coding skills in Python and its scientific stack to handle large datasets effectively.
• Collaborate with quantitative researchers, technologists, traders, and senior stakeholders to refine trading strategies.
• Mentor junior researchers and contribute to their professional development.

Requirements

• A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, Physics, or a related field from a leading university.
• 4+ years of experience in quantitative research and live trading.
• Strong analytical skills with a hands-on attitude towards technology and projects.
• Excellent time management skills, able to juggle multiple projects and business demands.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships across teams.
• Confident communicator with the ability to present and defend ideas effectively.

Nice to Have

• Experience in mentoring or leading teams.
• Familiarity with advanced statistical techniques and machine learning.
• Previous experience in a fast-paced trading environment.
