About the Role

What You'll Do
- Engage in advanced research on blockchain systems and contribute to foundational and applied research challenges.
- Collaborate closely with Ethereum Foundation researchers and other contributors.
- Manage the bug bounty program and monitor the Ethereum network for vulnerabilities.
- Contribute to public-facing materials, including blog posts and technical reports.
- Participate in a 12-week internship during summer 2026, with a remote work option available.
- Attend an in-person cohort meetup during the summer to enhance networking opportunities.
Requirements
- Current university enrollment in computer science, cryptography, mathematics, or economics.
- Strong interest in Ethereum and decentralized technologies.
- Experience with AI tooling for security.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Go, or Rust.
- Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and debugging techniques.
- Familiarity with Ethereum basics, including the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) and transactions.
- Basic understanding of cryptography concepts and code reviews from a security perspective.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in blockchain or security-related internships.
- Knowledge of network security principles.
- Familiarity with smart contracts and their security implications.
