Property Manager - Mall General Manager (Remote Opportunity)
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Property Manager remote to help lead the exciting reinvigoration of one of our region’s most iconic shopping destinations. This is more than property management; it’s an opportunity to help bring a bold redevelopment vision to life. In collaboration with existing anchors and our new anchor Downtown Flavortown, this mall is entering a new era of energy, entertainment, and community engagement. As a Property Manager remote, you will redefine what a modern mall experience looks like by blending retail, dining, entertainment, and destination experiences into one vibrant hub.
What You'll Do
- Oversee daily operations of the shopping mall, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning.
- Manage all property vendors, including security, janitorial, landscaping, and maintenance contractors.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including safety and building codes.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures.
- Conduct regular property inspections to maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for tenants, coordinating move-ins and move-outs.
- Enforce lease terms and property rules while assisting with lease negotiations, renewals, and amendments.
- Oversee preventative and corrective maintenance, managing building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
- Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, monitoring income, expenses, and overall financial performance.
- Implement safety and risk management procedures, ensuring appropriate insurance coverage is maintained.
Requirements
- Active South Carolina Real Estate or Property Management License Required.
- 5+ years of commercial property management experience, preferably in retail or shopping center environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Real Estate, Property Management, or related field (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of commercial leases and property operations.
- Proven experience managing budgets and financial reporting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong leadership and vendor management abilities.
- Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Nice to Have
- Experience in community engagement and marketing strategies.
- Knowledge of emergency preparedness planning.
- Familiarity with ADA compliance and other regulatory requirements.
