About the Role

We are hiring a Support Officer to join our dynamic team at East Suffolk Services. This Support Officer role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to our community while working remotely. You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality customer service and administrative support, ensuring that our residents receive the assistance they need.

What You'll Do

  • Provide high-quality customer service and administrative support through various communication channels including face-to-face, phone, and email.
  • Manage a high volume of calls and correspondence efficiently while maintaining professionalism.
  • Respond to customer feedback, including compliments and complaints, ensuring adherence to company policies.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Public Realm service area, supporting the Grounds Maintenance and Building Cleaning teams.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with GDPR regulations.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with Assistant Managers, Supervisors, and external clients.
  • Prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Travel between Ufford and Lowestoft offices as required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a varied administrative role.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of GDPR regulations.
  • 5 GCSEs (Grade C or above) including English Language and Mathematics.
  • NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or Customer Services, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with local government services.
  • Knowledge of public sector regulations.
