Principal Data Scientist - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a Principal Data Scientist (Remote) to join our team. In this role, you will be pivotal in leading the design and deployment of machine learning models focused on customer behavior. You'll drive insights that influence product decisions, ensuring that data-driven strategies are at the forefront of our client’s business initiatives.

What You'll Do

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of ML models predicting customer behaviors such as churn and lifetime value.
• Build behavioral segmentation frameworks and uplift models for product and marketing strategies.
• Drive product insights using causal inference and experimentation techniques.
• Own analytics for key initiatives, defining success metrics and guiding experimentation.
• Establish statistical models that elucidate the impact of marketing strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data model scalability and operational workflows.
• Provide technical mentorship and elevate best practices within the analytics team.

Requirements

• 9+ years of experience in data science or advanced analytics, preferably in SaaS or AdTech environments.
• Proven knowledge of predictive modeling and customer behavior analytics.
• Experience with causal inference techniques and experimentation frameworks.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with hands-on experience in production-grade ML models.
• Ability to define metrics and shape product strategy in partnership with product teams.
• Excellent data storytelling skills, able to communicate complex ideas clearly.
• Experience navigating ambiguous problem spaces to drive long-term strategies.

Nice to Have

• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
• Knowledge of data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI.
