Head of Quality Planning Department - Automotive Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Quality Planning Department to join our dynamic team at Brose. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of quality planning professionals and ensure the highest standards in our automotive projects. As the Head of Quality Planning Department, you will be responsible for overseeing quality planning from the acquisition phase through to the end of series production. This position is based in Kopřivnice, Czech Republic, and allows for remote work flexibility.

What You'll Do

• Lead and coordinate the quality planning department, managing a team of approximately 5-15 employees.
• Oversee quality planning in projects from acquisition, development, SOP to EOP.
• Identify, analyze, and monitor customer quality requirements.
• Discuss and decide on feasibility tests from a product quality perspective.
• Verify and release customer documentation including specifications, requirements, and cost risks.
• Ensure quality planning processes including first sampling and preparation for series production.
• Analyze quality deviations, manage corrective actions, and coordinate improvement activities.
• Implement and develop quality management methods and quality planning tools.

Requirements

• Master's degree in a technical field (e.g., engineering, quality, industrial engineering).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar position, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of quality management and planning methods (e.g., APQP, PPAP, FMEA, 8D).
• Experience in team leadership and project coordination.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), German is an advantage.
• Strong customer orientation and professional demeanor.
• Strategic and entrepreneurial mindset with decision-making capabilities.
• Analytical skills, systematic approach, and results-oriented.
