PR Human Resources Specialist - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated PR Human Resources Specialist to join our team remotely. As a PR Human Resources Specialist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating all Human Resources-related operations and programs for the Parks & Recreation Department. This position offers the opportunity to work full-time while contributing to the development and management of personnel actions, including recruiting, testing, and career development.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate all Human Resources operations and programs for the Parks & Recreation Department.
- Process personnel actions, including recruiting, testing, and background investigations.
- Assist with Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) documentation and tracking.
- Provide management support for labor negotiations and grievances.
- Implement and oversee the Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, or a closely related field.
- Five (5) years of Human Resources management experience in a Parks & Recreation environment.
- Ability to work irregular hours when necessary.
- Valid Florida driver’s license required.
- Experience in emergency response during natural or man-made disasters.

- Experience with labor negotiations.
- Knowledge of the Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
