About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated PR Human Resources Specialist to join our team remotely. As a PR Human Resources Specialist, you will play a crucial role in coordinating all Human Resources-related operations and programs for the Parks & Recreation Department. This position offers the opportunity to work full-time while contributing to the development and management of personnel actions, including recruiting, testing, and career development.

What You'll Do

  • Coordinate all Human Resources operations and programs for the Parks & Recreation Department.
  • Process personnel actions, including recruiting, testing, and background investigations.
  • Assist with Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) documentation and tracking.
  • Provide management support for labor negotiations and grievances.
  • Implement and oversee the Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, Education, or a closely related field.
  • Five (5) years of Human Resources management experience in a Parks & Recreation environment.
  • Ability to work irregular hours when necessary.
  • Valid Florida driver’s license required.
  • Experience in emergency response during natural or man-made disasters.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with labor negotiations.
  • Knowledge of the Drug & Alcohol Testing Program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
