Payroll Specialist - Remote Position at Distro

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Payroll Specialist to join our innovative team at Distro, a remote-first company. As a Payroll Specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing payroll operations for our clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance in all processes. What You'll Do

• Manage onboarding and implementation for new payroll clients, ensuring a smooth transition.
• Set up company profiles, pay structures, employee records, and tax configurations.
• Process payroll tax payments and support quarterly and year-end activities.
• Generate W-2s, 1099s, and other required reports for clients.
• Resolve discrepancies related to payroll data or tax filings efficiently.
• Provide client and employee support regarding payroll processes and inquiries.
• Maintain payroll systems, perform reconciliations, and prepare reports for the Finance team.
• Assist with system updates, audits, and continuous process improvements.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of payroll experience in a similar role.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in payroll software and business applications.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a client-service mindset.
