About the Role

We are excited to announce an opening for a Pastry Chef to join our prestigious team at Harbour Hotels. This Pastry Chef remote position offers a unique opportunity to work in a vibrant environment known for its exceptional pastry and bakery produce. As a Pastry Chef, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards of our culinary offerings while working in some of the most beautiful locations across the South of England.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and create a variety of pastries, desserts, and bakery items to the highest standards.
• Run your own section in the kitchen, ensuring efficiency and quality in every dish.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new recipes and improve existing ones.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in your workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role.
• Experience in a 1/2 Rosette background is preferred.
• Strong passion for pastry and baking, with a creative flair.
• Ability to work under pressure and maintain high standards.
• Eligibility to work in the UK or possess a valid UK work permit/visa.

Nice to Have

• Experience in luxury hotels or fine dining establishments.
• Knowledge of current pastry trends and techniques.
• Ability to adapt to changing menus and customer preferences.
